Many different organizations who have some kind of recording studio trust Audacity.
Audacity is a professional grade but free product for audio recording, and has many uses to record a sermon or music performance.
The great news is Audacity is included and can run straight off your Xbible USB flash drive. So if you are at a church meeting and someone has a word of knowledge or prophecy, or you need something taped unexpectedly, the church’s computer can be quickly set up to record important content at short notice.
It’s actually pretty simple to operate, just need to make sure you have the right input sources for recording.
More details of Audacity is here:-
When it comes to technology in the mission field, one of the pioneers of this is MegaVoice.
Megavoice is a unique ministry which produces radios designed to be fixed onto one channel, for local broadcasts of Christian radio in a specific country and bibles in spoken MP3 form that can be used anywhere in the world.
Build tough for harsh environments, some can be run on solar power in developing countries where batteries are scarce and costly. Many people in these targeted countries maybe illiterate in their own language, so this is where the spoken word is better!
These people are some of our heros!! please do check them out!!:-
The xbible project is different as its on a low cost USB stick which requires a normal Windows computer.
We aren’t a rival, we just hope the gospel can go out to places where evangelism and bible teaching maybe difficult due to free speech, threats against believers or where bibles and material might get seized or confiscated in airports or border crossings.
Introducing Radio Shema FM from Istanbul Turkey!
Turkey’s only Christian radio station has some good content, some mainstream American Christian music and local Turkish stuff. I think the number of believers is very small, so I’m guessing worship music in Turkish must be something of an extreme rarity.
Interesting thing of note, Shema sounds like Hebrew ( שמאי) for ‘hear’
Today although Turkey is 99% Islamic, we should remember that the gospel came out of this region – Paul was from Tarsius which was in Asia Minor back then. Its interesting how things go full circle.
As Turkey is a large country it would be interesting challenge to get it out the whole nation on regular FM frequency.
Using xBible, you will be able to listen to a wide choice of Christian radio stations in English and middle east languages, including Radio Shema using the popular VLC media player included. Technical know how is not required, these are accessed through menus. Our developers now need to tweak VLC player to strip it down just to the basics for playing internet radio channels.
