Wazala, part of Sat7 Arabic Christian television give advice on helping the persecuted church without putting others in danger:-
Recently members of the Jews for Jesus ministry from their UK office had one of their members arrested and put in prison in Israel. He is released now but facing deportation.
Israel is the most democratic nation in the middle east and tolerates Christians but doing evangelism is frowned upon, although this is the first case we have seen of people being arrested for this.
We see that there is a reason for this, and the Lord is going to stir the nation where the Jewish Messiah is from and will return again one day soon.
The aggressive anti missionary Orthodox group “Yad L’Achim” who sometimes stalk and harass Christians and Messianic Jews outside their congregations have petitioned a member of the Israel government to stop missionary work against soldiers in the IDF. This group of religious bullies are part of the Chabad Lubavitch group who a largely follow a deceased Rabbi from New York who never visited Israel as their Messiah. Israel is a democracy and lets people practice which ever type of Judaism they want. For IDF soldiers to be denied to be heard about the greatest Jew whoever left is sad. So soon, we will provide the means for IDF soldiers to hear the gospel using an xbible USB flash drive in English or Hebrew.
South Korean Christians send up balloons to float bibles to their northern neighbours
This is wonderful stuff!!
Its a year since our Iranian/American brother in the Lord, Saeed Abedini was locked up for trying to set up an orphanage in Iran. We have never met him, but from hearing his testimony he is one of the more well known Iranian believers who abandoned a life of radical Islam for following Jesus.
The Evin prison just outside of Tehran is one of the toughest places imaginable.
Please do get involved with prayer and campaigning to get Saeed out of prison and back to his wife and children, and that ministry to Iranian people would continue.
When you are finished with your xbible, you must exit the application menu before you unplug it.
The ‘close and exit safely’ button does the following:-
- closes any apps left open, ie: bible applications, AbiWord, VLC player, Chrome browser,
- close Windows Explorer windows (no not Internet Explorer browser, I’m referring to any windows displaying files and folders)
- closes the menu program from the taskbar
- makes the X: drive vanish by closing the hidden encrypted X: drive correctly, this step won’t work right unless the above are done.
I liken the Close and Exit safely button to an ejector seat button!! It needs to work quickly, using the black box that appears for a moment.
Lets say you are a student in a library with your laptop using xbible in an Islamic University, if someone approaches you this is designed to hide what you are doing.
We remind you to NEVER unplug your xbible flash drive suddenly, this will cause any apps running to crash and could corrupt the files too.
Voice of the Martyrs is an excellent ministry that seeks to assist Christians in countries where bibles and Christian books are hard to come by.
They are helping translate and distribute different books

The xbible project is about putting the word of God on a low cost USB flash drive. The gives the advantage of sending a lot of information in a tiny package which keeps shipping costs nice and low. Multiple books are available which are handy for those who speak two, three or more languages.
It also means the bible can be spread to countries where the gospel is not welcome, for example much of the Islamic world. The product has the contents encrypted, and the startup process requires a password to see the content, making the product’s purpose not obvious, as there are no files kept to what it does.
For the persecuted church
Designed for discrete operation, you could carry bibles and ministry tools through an airport/border crossing into a nation where evangelism is not welcome
A gift for a friend in your neighbourhood or someone in you met on the internet who is taking an interest in Christianity who comes from a different religious background
Disciple new Christians who live in places where bible distribution is not common
Something for Christians from other countries working (there are many people from Philippines or Thailand working as nurses and care workers) in Gulf Arab countries where it might be not be easy to bring a bible into the country
To reconcile Jews and Arabs through the message of Jesus, we also hope it helps Sunni and Shiite Muslim Arabs as well as Turks, Persians and Kurds in a region of the world where relations have been difficult.
For the illiterate or blind. Bibles available as MP3 audio format. Listen on the stick using included player, or copy to your phone or burn a disc.
Christians who have a curiosity in technology and how the scriptures can be distributed in a way for hostile places
Not all content is reliant on live internet connection, this makes it ideal for communities where broadband adoption, wireless hotspots and 3G/4G is costly or not common
Low cost for small ministry budgets and to be cheap enough for casual purchase by the ordinary Christian public
